This issue was not present in earlier versions (SuiteCRM 7.x) or in (SuiteCRM 8.5)
Assigned ID field is not automatically filling when creating record for every modules in 8.8 version
This doesn’t always happen, I think. It might depend on where you start the creation process from, or on which module you’re using.
Are you comparing the exact same scenario on v7 and v8?
For what all modules is it not working?
When we create record (leads, opportunity, contacts) normally then on create page ASSIGNED TO field not automatically filling by the current user…it was working in 8.5v or earlier versions but not working in 8.8v
It was not working in leads, opportunity and contacts modules but working in Quotes module.
On my install is working, any evidence in the logs?
Is there any customization. You can try to reset the layouts from the studio if it is possible for you.(try only if you don’t have any custom fields)
Caution: it will set layout with default fields.
This is a lost of functionality when using the new angular version which engines the 8.8 frontend. If you use the legacy version of the record creation the assign_user field will correctly assign the current user automatically.
