Assign Block Of Contacts To One Employee

HI,

I’m Very new to SuiteCRM and would like to know how to assign a block of contacts data to one account/employee.

What I would like is for that one employee to log in and see their block of contacts only (administrator would see all)

I’m aware of Mass Update but on trying that and assigning to one selected employee it is still the case that all employees can see the data.

a) Do I need to set up new employees in a certain way to allow contacts data to be assigned to them individually

b) How do I assign contacts to only one employee so just that employee and no other employee can see/work with the data?

You should have a Role assigned to the users, in that role set List and View to Owner

Thanks Mike - sorry but would that not allow only employees in that role to view all the data?

I’m looking to try and assign blocks individually (e.g. Records 1-99 Employee A, Records 100-199 Employee B etc) from within one clock of contact data.
