Archiving contacts

Hello,

I do not see an option to archive a contact. Is there a way to do this short of exporting that person and deleting him/her from database?

No, there is no direct way to do this.

You could make a custom field to make the contact invisible, and then customize views to hide contacts with that flag set.

An alternative would be to rely on the security groups feature: assign those contact to a security group that nobody (or only admins) has access to view.
