AOD - Advanced Open Discovery and non-latin characters

Finally I made Lucene to Index the data. Thanks for explanation.

But I found the following issue - I have any results only if I request search using latin characters.

My Data consists of English and Russian companies and names. Russian are most written in Cyrillic. Using AOD to find a Cyrillic name I need to search for transliterated name, i.e. Andrey instead of ‘Андрей’. And ‘Andrey’ searches results for both ‘Andrey’ and ‘Андрей’.

Search for ‘Андрей’ outputs an empty result.

Which seems not logically.

Built-in search works exactly what I’m looking for.

Any suggestions on it?

This is the first release of AOD and, as such, hasn’t been tested with exotic characters. This is something we want to support however and will be a goal for us for future versions. That being said there are some changes you could make to try and add support.

In

modules/AOD_Index/AOD_Index.php

at the start of the getDocumentForBean method adding

Zend_Search_Lucene_Analysis_Analyzer::setDefault(new Zend_Search_Lucene_Analysis_Analyzer_Common_Utf8Num_CaseInsensitive());

I’ve read the post suggested. But after changes/rebuild/re-index I got no difference unfortunately.

I don’t see this as urgent issue, so it is just FUY.
