An email error occurred:SMTP Error: Could not authenticate

I have been trying to setup SuiteCRM email configurations. However, I have failed ever since I began. Kindly tell me how to solve below error.
I have enabled IMAP from my Gmail settings.

Couple of things:

First you need to apply this patch:

Your settings are incorrect:

SMTP Settings should be:

TLS and 587 and SMTP Auth Checked.
smtp.gmail.com

IMAP Settings should be:

SSL checked, 993
imap.gmail.com

You also have to setup an app password to bypass 2 factor login.

Thanks to your answer. However, the problem for me was that I was using my gmail password which should not be used. I generated a password with smtp name and saved and used that password so it worked.
