Has anyone tried the AI Dashlet Generator plugin for SuiteCRM?
We have been testing the dashlet generation using Gemini AI, and we noticed that the prompts need to be very precise for the dashlets to generate accurately. If the prompts are not properly structured or clearly phrased, the generated dashlets are often inaccurate.
Has anyone here used this plugin to generate complex reports or dashboards?

I haven’t used this plugin specifically, but I use AI quite a bit as a coding assistant. For SuiteCRM AI sucks. It frequently mixes up SugarCRM, SuiteCRM 7 vs SuiteCRM 8, alot of coding stuff for suitecrm is poorly documented and not everything in Sugar CE docs translates anymore. What you get is tons of hallucinations. I spend hours arguing with AI over functions that don’t exist, variable labels that don’t exist, relationships that don’t exist, etc.
It is helpful, but I don’t see how a novice could simply ask AI to write a complex report that may span several tables, use several variables, complex relationships,etc. and be anywhere close to getting it right without hours of testing, debuging and understanding where the data comes from.
There is so much to consider, like access, currency, timezones, custom fields, etc., etc. AI can be a good starting point, but to expect AI to generate a complex report with a simple prompt does not happen in my experience. You also need to fully understand what you’re looking at.
For example, in my dashboard plugin. I just want to report on “overdue project tasks”. Well, what is overdue? What if its past the date, and on hold? Is that overdue? This is the type of thing that unless you really understand the data and what AI is doing, you’ll get wrong information every time. Business reporting can be very nuanced.
