After Install suiteCRM is not working properly

Hello,

I am finding an issue on SuiteCRM.

Actually, I just install the latest version of SuiteCRM for my client server and after installing it redirected me here http://morson.ca/crm/index.php?action=Login&module=Users

And when I am inserting the detail here then it not doing anything and just refreshing the page and showing me this form again. I have no idea what is happening as I am newbie with SuiteCRM.

I tried to install the suiteCRM 3 times and every time I get the same issue. Can you please help me on this asap. I can share the login detail with you?

Please let me know your thought.

Thanks,
Tarun

Hi Tarun,

Can you please share the version of suitecrm you are trying to install?
You might missed .htaccess file.

Hello Mikebeck,

I didn’t use any of the guide, I just follow the instruction for downloading.

https://suitecrm.com/wiki/index.php/Installation

follow that guide, and also check for errors in suitecrm.log or apache.log you might missing permissions or ownership

Hello Mikebeck,

https://suitecrm.com/forum/installation-upgrade-help/9563-strange-design-after-installing-7-6-4

that post has the same issue as you, and there’s the fix for it

best regards

I have checked all the permission adn even changed it also as per the post but still not working. It just ask m efor login detail after that it refresh the same page and show the login. http://morson.ca/crm/index.php?action=Login&module=Users

Not sure what is the issue. Do you have other solution?

that’s your error, don’t check your permissions, run the commands to adjust them again, this is definitely something regarding permissions and or ownership. What system do you use? is self hosted? is hosted in a company? with 3rd party hosted systems this is common.

best regards

Where to run the command? And what need to run and how?

Sorry I do not have much knowledge about this.

We are using Linux Operating System and It is company hosted.

Please let me know what to do now?

Hi Tarun,

Can you please run info.php file on path morson.ca/crm/info.php with content phpinfo();

It is definitely permission issue. You might need to change owner for the crm directory.

Thanks.

Hi Tarun,

I think you are using shared linux server.

Can you please try by giving 777 permission to cache module?

sudo chmod -R 777 cache

Thanks.

Hello Praful,

Yes, It is shared linux server. I have given 777 for cache folder but still asking for login detail after giving. :frowning:

Any other solution please…
