We’d been having trouble trying to figure out how to use this. Now, I know why! We seem to be missing the “Create Portal User” button.
Hi there,
Have you setup your AOP correctly in SuiteCRM and Joomla!?
1.) In SuiteCRM navigate to Admin -> AOP Settings and specify the joomla URL.
2.) In Joomla navigate to Components -> advanced-openportal and specify your SuiteCRM URL and username/password.
Thanks,
Will.
One other trick. The Create Portal User button is on the Contact Detail page. Not on the contact list view.
This threw off a few of our users (until we trained them a second time), but it is a key distinction.
List View: Other actions but not Create users:
Detail Pane: Create Portal user
Hello all,
Finding the openportal user options in contacts threw me off a bit and I found what I was looking for here. The user detail options in the current version are not a series of UI buttons as in the example I am replying about. They are now drop down menu items on the edit button.
I’m sure that that’s a noob observation, but it seems there are some other noobs asking the same questions here on the board.
Cheers all.
Aaron
Sorry about that. that is a configurable setting per install
Admin > System Settings > (User Interface group box) “Display Actions within Menus”
Hope this helps
