Add Portal User Button Missing Under Version 8.2.2


Thank you team for a wonderful work in the new 8 versions.

I have been struggling with the Portal User Creation in Version 8.2.2.

List of things done from My end:

In Joomla (3.x)

  1. Joomla Extension installed
  2. Advance Portal Data Updated

In SuiteCRM

  1. Enabled “ ENABLE EXTERNAL PORTAL:” under [Case Module Settings]
  2. Updated the Joomla URL
  3. Created Account
  4. Created Contact with Email id and associated it with an Account.

After doing the above steps, in an ideal situation, “Add Portal User” should have appeared in the contact module while editing the contact.

This is missing.

Could you please help in this.


Have you seen this working in any v8 version? 8.0, 8.1, etc?

I fear that this might simply never have been implemented in SuiteCRM 8…

I tried 8.1 still no luck.

But why should it be stopped?

No reason to remove it. It’s just the new version is really a complete UI overhaul. Sometimes time pressure (or distraction) causes functionality to go missing. I’m sure eventually it will get there.
