hmmm, Typically the "You do not have access to this area. Contact your site administrator to obtain access.” message appears when trying to access a Module that your role is restricted from accessing
Though, you mentioned that Roles are empty
By “Empty” do you mean that there are no Roles records, or that there are Roles records with no permissions set?
If the latter, i’d suggest trying to Log in to the CRM as a user with no related groups/roles, and checking if Contacts is still not visible
Then, Among the Repair options, running the “Repair Roles” option, if you hadn’t already
Does this have any effect?
Otherwise, it may be worth checking the filesystem, to confirm that files for the Contacts module & views can be found.
