We have a custom integration with our website where an Opportunity is created when a user submits a form. We do not want to automatically create a Contact but record the submitted email against the Opportunity and then use it to send an email notification via a Workflow.
Could you please let me know if it is possible to add an Email Address field to Opportunities so that I can use Record Email to send an email via a Workflow when an Opportunity is created?

In a Workflow for the Leads module, if you Select Action: Send Email the To drop-down is Email, Record Email, Related Field, User, Users where In a Workflow for the Leads module, if you Select Action: Send Email the To drop-down is Email, Related Field, User, Users - there is no Record Email option.
At this point in our process, we do not have a Lead or Contact associated with the Opportunity as it is auto-created via a custom integration from our website.
Any update on this? We have experienced a similar issue. Created an email (TextField) on the opportunity but when we click compose email from the opportunity the ‘To’ email is not prepopulated.
