Add an Email Field to Opportunities that I can use to send an email to a Record Email in a Workflow

Hello!

We have a custom integration with our website where an Opportunity is created when a user submits a form. We do not want to automatically create a Contact but record the submitted email against the Opportunity and then use it to send an email notification via a Workflow.

Could you please let me know if it is possible to add an Email Address field to Opportunities so that I can use Record Email to send an email via a Workflow when an Opportunity is created?

Not sure if I got the question, but you should be able to create an email field(TextField) on Opportunity and then refer it in WorkFlow.

Thank you for responding - it was hard to explain!

In a Workflow for the Leads module, if you Select Action: Send Email the To drop-down is Email, Record Email, Related Field, User, Users where In a Workflow for the Leads module, if you Select Action: Send Email the To drop-down is Email, Related Field, User, Users - there is no Record Email option.

At this point in our process, we do not have a Lead or Contact associated with the Opportunity as it is auto-created via a custom integration from our website.

Any update on this? We have experienced a similar issue. Created an email (TextField) on the opportunity but when we click compose email from the opportunity the ‘To’ email is not prepopulated.

There should be the option “Field” on the dropdown, after the option “Users”. What is your SuiteCRM version?
