I am new to SuiteCRM and am trying to set access permissions for the Task module. My user is using a Regular User Type that allows them to edit their own tasks. I need to change that to allow them to edit all tasks without opening it up for everyone using the Regular User Type. Is it possible to modify the access permissions per user as opposed to by a profile.
Have you had a look at the Role Management tool within the Admin Panel? You can use Roles to restrict permissions for each SuiteCRM module. For Tasks you can enable editing to ‘Owner’ which means they can only edit their own tasks. Once you have created the Role you can add Users to that Role.
If you are already using Roles you will need to create a new Role for each set of different access rights you want to specify.
