7.0.2 and 7.1B2: Blank page with German language pack

I get a blank page after login.

It happened with v7.0.2 and v7.1b2. Both installs were running fine -> until I edited some suiteCRM settings in the admin tool with the German language pack installed.
I downloaded the German language pack from sugarCRM. http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/deutsch/
I know, these files are old but I still wanted to give them a try.

Any chance to roll back? I would prefer not to make clean installations again.

Ok, I can login again.
In the db I deleted a row in table user_preferences which wasn’t there earlier.

I tried to reproduce this by editing Admin-user settings, as I did earlier -> but w/o success. It seems that SuiteCRM is just running fine since then.
