Workflow - Run "Always" vs "Only In The Scheduler"

When setting up a workflow, there is a Run field where it asks you to choose between
Always, Only In The Scheduler and Only On Save.

Whats the difference between the “Always” and “Only In The Scheduler”. I can’t seem to figure out what the difference is.

I looked up the documentation in the user guide and did a search on the forum but couldn’t find an answer hence the post.

“Only on save” is when records are being saved
“Only on scheduler” is when the scheduler gets called, the one that you set up in the Schedulers menu, usually 1 time every 1 minute
“Always” is the both
