WorkFlow Mail Trigger

Hi,
I want to send mail while Case “Assigned to” a particular user using work flow. Here i did,

but mail was not receive asssigned user.

Ok. Lets go through some basics questions to help us get context.

  1. When is this expected to run? On a scheduler or just manually adding a Case Update?
  2. Have you tested and confirmed that the instance is sending out emails in other areas.
  3. Does the workflow even initiate? i.e. you an see a record associated with that workflow in Process Audit’'s subpanel?

Mail will send once we save/edit the cases.
i checked the test mail in “Admin> Emial setting” , test mail received.

Ok. Well I would expected it to kick off even if it failed to send an email. Can you change the action to be something other than email to test that the when you manually add a Case Updates that it initiates the workflow? For example to update the subject name or description.

Then we can rule out that the workflow works as expected and then troubleshot the email sending.

What might change for Workflow testing

Process Audit geting empty. what might to change for testing workflow module. my main requirement is to send email while we select user in “assignedto” .

What we were trying to confirm that the worklow just runs if the action is set to something other than send email. If it doesn’t work then it’s a problem with the workflow and not specifically the Send to Email action itself.

What else you can do is watch your DEBUG logs when you try and execute the workflow.
