Web Browser Issues

Hi,

Got a test installation on my machine (windows 10) and it works fine locally, using Internet Explorer.

When attempting to connect to the test installation over the company network, using IE, we get the login screen.

Trouble is, when user and password are entered and ‘login’ clicked, it immediately reloads the login page! :frowning:

There are no errors displayed by the browser that I can see.

When checking the suitecrm.log file, it says ‘user authentication failure’, or something similar.

We tried to login on a couple of different machines (all win 10), with several different SuiteCRM accounts (admin and std user), using IE, with the same negative results. :frowning:

However, when using the Google Chrome browser, login works fine.

I’m assuming that it must be an IE browser setting that is causing the problem?

Anyone seen this before?

Anybody know what IE setting(s) need to be changed for it to work?

Thanks,

Andy.

Which version of IE are you using?

Have you tried it in compatibility mode?

Also please try Edge browser to see if it makes a difference.

Hi,

Using IE v11

I have tried it in compatibility mode and it made no difference.

Tried Microsoft Edge (v38.14393.1066.0) and that didn’t work either…

Regards,

Andy

Please tell me if you find anything in your other log, at the time of the failed login.

And please give us the exact message in suitecrm.log, so I can look in the code where it is being used.

Hi,

Due to pressing work issues, I haven’t had chance to get at the server to access the suitecrm.log file.

As far as the ‘other’ log files are concerned, I have no idea if they exist, or indeed, where the hell they might be… :frowning:

If and when I find them, I will post the, hopefully useful, extracts for you to peruse.

Cheers,

Andy
