Variables available for Email Template - Campaign

I want to add some account fields - ie. Account Email. to an email template. I do not have an option to use variables from the Accounts module, only Contact/Lead/Target. Anybody know of a way to do this?

The target list I am using has a mix of Contacts and Accounts, but there is no option for Accounts in the Insert Variable drop down.

Hi there,

If you have SuiteCRM there should be all modules available for email templates.

Did you upgrade from SugarCRM CE? Have you run a Quick Repair & Rebuild and executed any changes?

Thanks,

Will.

Hi Will,

Thanks for responding so quickly!

I am running SuiteCRM. I did do an upgrade from SugarCRM CE. I have completed a Quick Repair & Rebuild with no change in that drop down. I noticed that I did not mention that this is an email template for a email campaign.

Hi there,

Can you provide a few screen shots? That’d help. In SuiteCRM, there should be variables for all email templates.

Thanks,

Will.

Hi Will,

I am able to go into Emails…then hover over Emails->View Email Templates. I can edit the template in here and see the variables for Account. I do not see Account when I open the campaign and edit the email template. When I attempt to run the campaign, the variable $account_email1 shows up instead of nothing (if the email is directed to a contact) or the email address (if the email is directed to an account). I had this functionality with SugarCRM - I also remember having to make some changes to make it work…but I am not sure what changes I made now.

I have attached two images. One is from the campaign email editor and the other is from the email template editor.

I am assuming that this hasn’t been seen or there is no solution…this is how the demo works too.

hello,

has anyone a solution for this issue?
I am also trying to add one more varaiable in a template but still not figured out how to do this…
Thanks in advance

regrads.
