Here is my suggestion:

  1. run chmod and chown command on your downloaded zip file after you move it to that folder.
  2. Use mv command to change the name to a simpler form.

For example,

mv SuiteCRM-8.8.0 suitecrm

Then run,

sudo ./bin/console suitecrm:app:upgrade -t suitecrm
