upgrading from 7.83 to 7.9 , at the commit screen, received an error http error 500

hi,
I am upgrading from 7.8.3 to 7.9
i downloaded the necessary file and went through all the steps of upgrade wizard.

at the step of commit , it gave an error of http error 500, currently unable to handle the request.

now, i am trying to open the application, it is not opeming and giving the same error .

what it could be

You should check the logs (apache and/or php) to see what is happening.

Also, don’t upgrade to 7.9, wait for 7.9.1.

Check your permissions, and check if you have enough memory_limit and max_execution_time in your php.ini.
