Upgrade Wizard - Fatal Error Memory size

When trying to upgrade from 7.8.0rc to 7.8.1 i get the following error message when I click ‘Upgrade Wizard’

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12288 bytes) in /home/statesideapm1/public_html/crm/cache/modules/Leads/language/en_us.lang.php on line 68

Attached is a screen shot of my website resources. I’ve also noticed I get an IO error on my cPanel

You need a larger value on the memory_limit directive in your php.ini.

I cannot find a file called ‘php.ini’ - where should I find it.

And what should I change the memory_limit too?

You have it at 64MB, just try increasing to 128MB or even 256MB, it seems your server can handle it. It’s just a maximum size, it will rarely be used (only on upgrades or complicated operations).

About the php.ini, try one of these

locate php.ini
sudo find / -name php.ini 2>/dev/null

You might have more than one file, you want the one used by your web server.

I am assuming you’re hosting your own server, if not, you might not have access to that file, then you would need to contact your hosting provider and ask them.

Hi. I’m hosted on GoDaddy. I’ll contact them and let you know the out come.

I’ve found the place to make the changes and increased it to 256. I’m running the update now and it seems to be going fine.

Fingers crossed and thanks for your help.
