I recently upgraded from sugarCRM CE 6.5.14 to SuiteCRM 7.1 using the upgrade package (6.5.x-to-7.0.1) . Everything worked nice! On my sugar CE installation, I had the SecuritySuite Basic edition ( from here: http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/?group_id=552 ) installed and did not remove it before the upgrade. From the SuiteCRM Demo I saw (later) that there is by default an option for “Security Groups Management”. So I decided to uninstall the “SecuritySuite Basic” module.
After uninstalling I saw that there was no option for Security Groups Management. How can I get back the default Security Groups module that comes with a clean installation of SuiteCRM 7.1 ?
You never need to uninstall Security Suite even if upgrading. You can navigate to Admin -> Display modules and subpanels and display the Security Suite module.
To be true though, this is not exactly what I’m asking.
If I get it right, a clean SuiteCRM installation comes with the SecuritySuite Basic module included by default. But, if you check the ‘Module Loader’ (in the admin panel) you will not see there a separate module that you can disable of uninstall.
I just wondered if there is a way to achieve the same thing in my installation. What differences in files and/or database make the same module to not appear as an extra module, in a clean SuiteCRM installation ? What would happen if I tried to install the same module as an extra, in a clean SuiteCRM 7.1 ?
I’d be happy if anybody can satisfy my curiosity. If not, thanks anyway for your time!
