Is this regarding the standard functionality? Do the assign to emails work for other modules? Are you getting any errors?

when we create project task under task menu and select project it’s ok but we same do under project page than it’s not working

It is not standard for the email to be sent out for project tasks, and this requires customisation.

It’s not an ideal solution but we got round this by setting up a workflow to send out an email to the assigned user.
