Unable to search using custom fields in contacts module

Hi,

I’m new to SuiteCRM and I’m still finding my way through it all. I’ve just encountered an unexpected ‘feature’ where, if I create custom fields as dropdown lists in the contacts module, I’m unable to search for them on either the basic or advanced search screens. I can change the layout so the fields are displayed on the search screen but selecting any of the values to search for always yields “no results”.

Am I missing something…?

What version are you using?

Version 7.7.7
Sugar Version 6.5.24 (Build 509)

This was a bug with the 7.7.7 release. If you upgrade to 7.7.8 this issue should be resolved.

I’ve now upgraded and you are right, it is now working correctly!
