I’ve just installed a copy of 7.10.27 there, and all seemed fine
Was this a clean install of 7.10.27, or were you trying to upgrade to it from a previous version?
Also, to have some more info, what sort of setup are you installing onto?
(ie: MySQL/MSSQL? Windows/Linux? Which PHP version?, etc)
@John this is definitely a bug, we’ve seen several people with this error in the Forums lately. But I don’t know what is causing it, perhaps it is not easy to reproduce

Well, if this is only in MySQL 8.0, then it isn’t a bug, it’s just people using an unsupported version
