To Suite or not to Suite?

Hi all,
I work for a medium-sized social business based in Haiti. We’ve grown past our ability to rely on excel spreadsheets and want a proper database. Since many of the functions we are looking for are CRM-related, we are investigating SuiteCRM as a potential solution. However, there are plenty of other functionalities that we’ll need to incorporate, including tracking invoice/payment data and data related to our operations. So my question is, is it possible (and is it worth it?) to customize SuiteCRM to the extent that we can get what we need? Or are we better off building a database from scratch?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

I’d say it’s far better to build on the CRM system. There is already so much CRM functionality built, I think it would make much more sense.

Thanks,

Will.

Hi!

My company has several years of expierience in customizing and developing CRM solutions from SugarCRM/SuiteCRM frameworks.
We do a lot of pro bono work too, actually we did a CRM job for an organization providing the much needed water pumps for Haiti after the last huge earthquake in 2011(?)
I visited your website, you might qualify too as far as I can see.

The CRM customization included service level agreements, invoice tracking and quoting with local engineering companies and such, usually almost anything can be supported if not be done automatically through a well thought CRM solution.

Contact me if interested!

Martin,
Thanks for your reply. I’d love to discuss this with you. Would you be so kind as to contact me via SOIL’s website (I don’t know how to private message my contact info on this forum).
Thanks!
