Target list woes

Hi guys,

I’m having trouble populating a target list with the desired contacts.

We have created a MultiSelect field for Contacts named Categories with values such as Recruiter, Contractor, Competitor etc. A contact may be assigned more than one category.

We would like to create a target list for contacts that are either one of two categories, however we do not want to include any contacts that are Competitors.

So far the only way I can envision doing this is creating the target list for the categories and then manually removing any contacts with the Competitor category, however this is slow and sometimes does not work. Is there an easier way to edit the contacts in this target list, or perhaps an Advanced Search feature that would let me use Boolean logic?

Hi,

For this I would perhaps create a report which will allow you to have search criteria with AND OR parenthesis.

Once you have created your report and have you have the correct information, Use the ‘add to target list’ action button on the detail view action button.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I’ve had pretty poor luck with the Reports module and and often presented with a blank page with the following errors in the log:

[FATAL] aor_reports for aor_report_aor_fields failed to load
[FATAL] error loading relationship aor_reports
[FATAL] aor_reports for aor_report_aor_conditions failed to load

Are these errors normal?
