Switching from SugarCRM Pro [6.5.18] to SuiteCRM

Hello -

I looked around but did not see an answer to my question. We currently use SugarCRM Pro version [6.5.18] and was looking to migrate to SuiteCRM. My question concerns the differences in functionality between SugarCRM Pro and SuiteCRM. We have done extensive work in Studio to our SugarCRM to make it work for our business and wanted to make sure all of these things would move over and that we would not be losing any functionality by going with SuiteCRM.

Hi there,

There are many differences between pro and SuiteCRM i.e. modules in pro which differ from those in SuiteCRM. If you have data in modules which are non-standard in SugarCRM CE, you will need to map that data and have scripts written to move it. In terms of studio customisations, you should be able to simply export your customisations via Studio and then import to SuiteCRM.

Thank you for your reply. That answers my question. From the sounds of it, it does seem like an easy task to move from Pro to SuiteCRM.
