I have an issue using the abovementioned Plugin in combination with the newest Suite CRM 8-release (issue was the same for 7 too))
When trying to search for an additional user, it says that there are some missing rights.
Before this error there was a soap-error, but our external IT could fix that.
on the UI / Outlook side of things, there is not much to give us a clue.
Access Denied is usually just a plain API result for a user that does’t have access to, in this example, Contacts.
In order to find out more, can you check in the log files, what exactly didn’t work?
Start with the suitecrm.log - if you can’t see anything right away, set the log level to something higher (debug in the worst case, but check carefully in which second you’ve executed the search - there are a lot of details).
Check the server logs as well (access / error). It could be, that the plugin is sending the request to a “wrong” end point and misleading us with a generic access denied error, rather than returning the actual response of the request.
Hi Bastian
Thanks for your quick answer.
We are using Office 2019 with IMAP-Account that’s the reason why the newer Versions of the GrinMark Mail Archivation Plugin aren’t suitable for us.
Do you know of any alternatives that support the integration with Office 2019 IMAP?
I don’t use Outlook - so I’m not actively testing which version supports what and has what kind of issues.
You’re using this plugin: Download | Opacus Solutions ?
I used Opacus for years, but it stopped working. It was a MS issue not an Opacus issue. It could no longer connect to O365 via IMAP if my memory serves me correctly.
Thanks for the answers so far.
The challenge is, that a local legacy plugin has to be used, because we use IMAP for our mails.
In the readme of the installed plugin I saw this version: GrinMark MS Office Add-in for SugarCRM Version: 5.2.8
The real errormessage is the following one (the other one was just temporarly): Unknown error in soap call: service died inexpectedly
To gather logs isn’t easy up to now as we still rely on an external IT provider.
Therefore I have two questions:
Does anybody know if there are later versions of the Grinmark IMAP Plugin?
Is the suggested alternate plugin suitable:
Experiment with Opacus is over so far. Download and installation, activation with free licenze, everything fine. Communication to CRM with URL and login tested.
Plugin shows in outlook but unfortenaltely, it is not possible to archive mails because no contacts are found :
