SugarCRM V 6.5.16 to SuiteCRM

  • downloaded SuiteCRM Upgrade 6.5.x to 7.0.0.zip
  • Using upgrade wizard from within SugarCRM
  • system passes first check
  • uploads - SuiteCRM Upgrade 6.5.x to 7.0.0.zip
  • Takes a while to upload the file and then shows the following message:

The uploaded file is not compatible with this version of Sugar:
SugarCRM System Version: 6.5.16

I am using Bitnami on an AWS server. I have upgraded SugarCRM and added a few modules and everything worked OK.

Any ideas?

Hi John,

You won’t be able to upgrade to SuiteCRM 7.0.0 from SugarCRM CE 6.5.16 as SuiteCRM 7.0.0 contains 6.5.15. Sugar will not allow you to go from 6.5.16 to 6.5.15. You can now however upgrade to SuiteCRM 7.0.1 which features bug fixes and SugarCRM CE 6.5.16.
