Setting up email - Error:SMTP connect() failed.

Ive tried searching forums here and a lot of other places, from what im seeing, there doesn’t seem to be a fix (unless you code), and this is a common error.

Hosting on Godaddy server, installed to server using the installatron application browser.
When setting up the email config, im using same settings that work in outlook (also tried suggestions found in other forum posts, changing port, and SMTP auth)
Allow less secure apps is on (in gmail settings, as well as allow POP and IMAP)
Emails tried: domain email hosted by gmail, normal gmail, and yahoo

Any suggestions out there?

What’s your version of SuiteCRM? Please always include that in your posts when you start a thread.

In the newest SuiteCRM versions (7.9.14, 7.10) there is the option to see a full SMTP log in the “Send test email” feature. This really helps figure out what’s wrong.

I have completely reinstalled version 7.10 and when I click on send test email, it hangs and does not go any further.

At email templates, the images are not saved.
