IĀ“m setting up suiteCRM for a company. They have about 30 salesmen. Everyone has its own salesarea. All the companies of that area are only visible to the responsible vendor. But sometimes they need to know who is the responsible vendor for a company out of their own area. They would like to be able to search for a company name and to get the information as a search result (only fields: company name, city, responsible vendor). To view the file completely, should continue to be unabled.
Is that possible? Or maybe you have another idea. To put the authorization to standard (blocked by user) isnĀ“t a good solution because all the files are displayed. So they loose the overview of their own data.
SecuritySuite may be something that could achieve similar results to what you are looking for.
You can set up Roles/Security Groups through the āRole Managementā and āSecurity Suite Group Managementā options in the Admin Menu.
You can then assign Users to a Group or Role and Allow or Deny their access to different modules.
For example you can make it so Users can only view/edit records that they have created
Hi John, thanks for qour quick reply. I took a look to the security suite but i think it wonĀ“t solve the issue, i mentioned, because it works with groups as well. Do you know a bit more about its functions? It is truly a bit special what iĀ“m asking for.
after having contact to the sugaroutfitters i found a solution using the standard rules. The problem is that i have to setup a search-template by every user to show up only the assigned records.
Using a dashlet would solve the issue very comfortable because it is possible to setup a dashlet with āmy companiesā (for example).
Is it possible to create the same function in a menu? So i can replace the standard menu showing all records to the selection assigned to the user?
