Sales & Marketing & Opt outs - really confused, help!

So basically I’ve set up SuiteCRM to do some tests and get an idea how CRMs actually work.

I have stumbled upon few problems which kills SuiteCRM for me.

1.Is it really impossible to send out a single e-mail with tracking link? I have to create a whole marketing campaign each time I want to send a personalized e-mail with tracking???

2.I tested out Marketing Campaigns. What I noticed is that messages sent via this module ALWAYS include a opt-out link. Is there a way to get rid of it? If so, how to do it?

  1. Why can’t I move Targets from Marketing section to Leads/Contact in Sales section? What’s the logic behind it? Duplicating the data doesn’t really seem to be efficient.

  1. Tracker links are related to each campaign that they are created from. So if you wish to track a particular URL that isn’t linked to any other campaign then that campaign needs to be created individually. However, I don’t see why you can not copy a particular tracker URL that SuiteCRM creates and place it into your unique email. Results will just link back to the existing Campaign you first created the tracker from.

For example. Create a general Email Campaign that will create tracker URLs (as many as you need) and when you are ready you can copy those URLs into your individual emails. That way over time with each individual email you send out through your mail client (not necessarily SuiteCRM) you will be able to track their click through. All those results will be available by the general Campaign you created.

  1. There isn’t a way to remove the opt out link as its a legal requirement for all email campaigns.

  2. You can convert Targets into Leads via the Target’s DetailView. Navigate to the Target you wish to convert and then from the Edit dropdown (which should include the values of Duplicate, Delete, Convert Target, and Manage Subscriptions).
