Hello,
I set up different roles and gave rights to edit “Group” in the Task module for some of them, but one member of the group created having this role (with rights to edit “Group” in the Tasks module) could see the tasks assigned to another user, could see the button “Close and create new”, but it didn’t work. He couldn’t edit the task at all.
The task was linked to the same group the user belonged to, and the contact and account linked to this task also.
Is there something I should know about the “group”?
I created 3 different groups, and the users are assigned to a group according to their location. The contacts and accounts are also assigned to a group on the same criteria, so that users can only modify the contacts and accounts which are in the same group.
Please let me know if this is not the way it works, and let me know how I should configure these groups, thanks.
Kind regards,
Regine
Hi,
Is another user a member of same group ?
" one member of the group created having this role (with rights to edit “Group” in the Tasks module) could see the tasks assigned to another user, could see the button “Close and create new”, but it didn’t work. "
Have a look at this blog. Might be helpful.

Thank you Alpesh, it did help! I believe my mistake was to have assigned all roles to the different groups I had created.
Kind regards,
