Resetting Admin User Password - Errors

Hello Guys (Will)

I have a list of users that I am resetting their passwords

Over 60 users, around 10-15 admin users

I don’t know if you are already aware but when you reset an admin users password the email is sent to the user

  • The system will do one of two things

1 - Reject the log in completely

2 - Or request a new password from the user, The user will then fill in the available fields and the system will reject it as you “did not provide the original password”

Please find images attached

image 1 - system has sent me an email and I have gone to the system using the details given

image 2 - First error from the system, “Password expired please provide a new one”

image 3 - I have typed in the new password and confirmed the password - clicked save

  • The error in image 3 is - Incorrect current password for user “” Re-enter password information

You are then stuck on this page with the system rejecting every password you give due to not filling out the “Current password” field - which isn’t available

The only solution I have found is to use the “Forgotten Password” - which sends me an email with a link

Using this link to create the new password etc

The system then logs you into this user

Is this a known error? Any suggestions to help this

Regards

Hi Taufique,

Which version of SuiteCRM are you running?

Thanks,

Will.

7.0.1

We have decided to wait for 7.1 before upgrading any system

Do you have any idea when this is being released other then the beta

Cheers

Hi Taufique,

I believe this issue was resolved in 7.0.1. I double check and confirm that. SuiteCRM 7.1 is due for release in Q1. There is not a set date as yet.

Thanks,

Will.
