Reports: count number of emails

I have managed to create a report that counts the number of calls per user per day.
It is based on the USER module

When I do the same with counting emails it fails also using USER module.

Is it not working in the module or should I do it in a different way? if you know how to do it let me know how you do it to make it work please.
