Quotes / Invoices - Print as pdf not working for $discount_amount and vat

hello,

in version 8.4 the invoice printing is not working correct. The discount variable $discount_amount is not showing anything, also the products_quotes_vat variable.

any idea?

Are there values in the database tables?

Meaning is the value of $discount_amount being written correctly and if it is, is it definitely there to pull from?

yes, in the detail view all is correct, but its not printed in the pdf document.
same problem in the 8.4 demo, if you use the pdf Invoice template.
