Quote-Module second Discount needed

Hi all,

first of all - thanks again for this great CRM-Suite you gave to us!

We are using Sugar CE since more than 14 Months now, and have “upgraded” it to SuiteCRM as it was available. Everything worked well after installing the Upgrade-Package - including all of our many Customizations - Very Cool.

But as soon as we´d install SuiteCRM, the first Questions came up like " Can´t we maybe use Quotes"…
OK, checked - this could work for us. I´ve put the first Testproducts in SuiteCRM, used the integrated Quote-Template to make a fitting Quote for our Needs - so everything worked well again.

BUT: We are working with 2 Discounts. Like “Volume-Discount” as Discount No.1, and “Agency-Discount” as Discount No.2
So as Example:
Listprice: 100€
Discount 1: 20%
Discount 2: 15%
Net-Amount: 68€

Of course could we put this into only one Discount of 32% - But Agencies don´t like that
So this is, why we would ned to implement a second Discount to the Quotes. And the best way (and maybe the simplest) would be, to not put this into Line-Items directly, but at the and, where the Sums are - or am i wrong???

So if there has anybod any Clue - it really would help us a lot!!

Hi Musi,

Please see this forum topic which details how to edit line_items.js to make upgrade safe changes via a new line items JavaScript file.

This change will be implemented in the next release of AOS, which will mean you will be able to make upgrade safe changes without having to change the reference in the original line_items.js to a new, custom file.
