what does this actually do? on our CRM is turned off. does it affect performance if we handle several dozens or hundreds of thousands of records?
It deletes old records from the sugarfeeds table. If the number of days is not set in the config file or congif_override file, the default is 30 days. So if it ran today, it would delete records in the sugardfeeds table that were created 30 days from today.
The sugarfeeds table is the activity stream.
