Protecting archived emails from modification

I just discovered that archived emails can be modified. Is there any way to prevent this? I guess I could remove the Edit option. Any setting to prevent.

You would set Edit/Delete to disabled/none in the Role for the user.

Setting the edit email to disabled/none prevents users from archiving an email. Anyone have another idea.

You would need to custom code it, as it is not standard to set edit in a specific area. You can only disable/enable editing globally via roles.
