Problem with Autofilled Emaildata

Hello Guys,

when I want to send (for example) a offer via email there is for example Surname, surname@domain.net prefilled which leads into a error “The address(es) in the To field are invalid” because it has to be Surname, surname@domain.net after deleting the fieldcontent and refilling it via chooser everything is ok, but how can i fix this from beginning? (Sorry, search for a solution since 3 or more hours, maybe someone knows the trick?

Thanks,

Chris

What is your SuiteCRM version?

Where are these records created? Contacts, Leads, what?

V: up2date 7.11.4

Contacts. There it seems all fine.

So you create a Contact and add an email address.

Then you go where to try sending the email? Please list the exact screens and the exact buttons you click, I want to make sure I am attempting to reproduce your issue and not doing something slightly different. Thanks

Hi pgr,

actually i had a contact with an email adress.

i create a sales opportunity, after that i create an offer, choose the sales opportunity, company and addressee, create some positions (as needed). save and try to send it as pdf mail (or just in text, doesnt matter),

then it tells me that email is not right.

scheme: surname, email@domain.net

i can fix it by adding <> before and after the email, but i think this should be standard? Is this a user configuration or system problem?

Works for me on 7.11.2

I don’t have a 7.11.4 to try right now… have you tried this on the online demo?

Hi,

This issue is still present in version 7.11.18 when emailing an invoice the to field is pre-populated with the contacts display name and email address separated by a comma and the email fails.

See below

Thanks

Maybe it is fixed with Suite 8. We didn’t try it further yet

Hi,

Has anyone found a way around this?

I’m using version 7.13.0 and I noticed it throws FATALS due to commas in the name section of the email address. It’s obviously assuming multiple email addresses.

Thanks Terry
