Prevent case updates from appearing in History subpanel

We use the case update automatic email feature to provide feedback to customers on the status of their case. Each of these emails is also attached to the history subpanel for each contact and their account. We don’t want it to appear in History. This is just cluttering up history for staff. If we want to see these details we can look at the updates on each case.

I want the update emails to automatically go out to all contacts linked to a case. I do not want to see the email in any history subpanels.

Is there any easy way to do this?
