I want a portal solution that shows clients projects/task and progress plus ability to download invoices as well as the usual support/ticket system

There’s a portal that comes with SuiteCRM, used to be called for AOP (Advanced Open Portal). It is Joomla-based, and provided by SalesAgility.
It handles Cases and Documents, I don’t think it handles Projects but you can always try to expand it with some coding.
Then there are several other portal solutions on the SuiteCRM Store.
And then there are several developers here on the forums that are willing to help you with a Portal, for a fee. I know urdhvatech sells a portal module, and he’s active here on the forums so you can ask him in case you need something extra.
