PDF Templates Smarty Modifiers

Hi all,

Is it possible to use the Smarty modifiers in the PDF templates as described on Sugar documentation

and on smarty documentation
http://www.smarty.net/docs/en/language.modifiers.tpl

I would need to truncate the decimals of some fields on the PDF printout as well as force a + sign on positive numbers.

I have also tried to include a php tag in the html editor without chance.
