Parse Error when trying to select contact in custom module

Hi everyone,

back again with some troubles
So my CRM was running wonderfully all the time when suddenly today I get strange errors. I am simply trying to add a contact to a custom module via clicking on this arrow button you have for all the related fields and instead of the selection menu I get following two errors. I can though enter the first letters and it will select through the dropdown that automatically appears.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting β€˜]’ in /home/dpost581/public_html/SuiteCRM/cache/smarty/templates_c/%%DA^DA2^DA26040D%%Popup.tpl.php on line 389

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting β€˜,’ or β€˜;’ in /home/dpost581/public_html/SuiteCRM/cache/smarty/templates_c/%%E1^E10^E104AF3E%%Popup.tpl.php on line 434

I do not know what this means? Can anybody help please?

Thank You very much, Martin

Hi Martin,

Have you performed a Quick Repair & Rebuild in Admin -> Repair?

Thanks,

Will.

Oh wow, as simple as that… should’ve tried before stupidly asking  Thanks!

But just out of curiosity, what could’ve caused it, to suddenly behave like it when we didn’t change anything?

Thanks again, much appreciated, Martin.

Hi Martin,

It was to do with your cache. A change may have been made that was then cached, hence the error.

Thanks,

Will.
