Question:
In 7.2 there is a one-to-many relationship between Oppty and Leads.
Can’t add the selector in the Lead detail view to link it to an existing Oppty record. There is only a text field for Oppty Name.
Is this right?

Correct - the Use Case for this is that Leads are unqualified - once they have been qualified IN then they can be converted to a Contact and an Opportunity created. Leads, in an unqualified state, do not have related opportunities. This enables the layering of data in CRM:
targets - low value: data like bought in lists
leads - higher value - may have met at trade show, may have emailed you, may have seen in web article or on linkedin
contact - highest value - may have transacted with you or have a higher propensity to transact with you
thanks… i know you guys are busy but something like this that describes the Sales cycle of SuiteCRM out of the box and why the relationships are constructed as is would be helpful in the wiki.
