Hi guys i create email template for each time a new opportunity get in the crm send a email to the assignated person

but i want to know the way to make a direct link to that opportunity create.

this is my email template
but i need to now the field to use in http://domain.com/index.php?module=Opportunities&action=DetailView&record=[OPPORTUNITY FIELD]

Hi there,

How are you sending the email? Via AOW(WorkFlow) running on the opportunities module?

If this is sending from a workflow, you would simply add:


<a href="$url">name of link here</a> - this will create a link with a name

or simply:


$url - this will output the URL on the page, but will not be clickable.

Hi there,

Glad that helped. Emails can be sent utilising variables for most modules using a combination of email templates/workflow allowing you to send well structured emails efficiently.

This is not currently supported as the variable list for modules does not contain the ‘modified by user’ value/field.
