Not able to install. I want to have in sub-directory under one of domains on hostgator.

Gmail integration.

I get the following message when I try to send a message.

“… Warning: Missing username and password for outgoing mail account…”

??. What does that mean?

I will assume that you are putting in your username and password, of course…

Exactly in which screen are you trying those settings? Please tell exactly every step you take to get there (there are 3 places for these definitions in SuiteCRM… we’ll have to improve that design one day…)

I’ve had a “Eureka”. moment I have to say.

I did manage to send out a test message to myself from SuiteCRM… So, there is progress…

Now, I need to work out the rest…

Accounts and contacts???.. My personal contacts… So, they will be assigned to an account called “My personal contacts”?

Now, business people …

say I have 20 nursery business owners that I talk to … I like them all under one category… children’s nursery owners. Is that possible? Next say, I am talking to a group of people in the eye care business … can I put them under the category “Opticians”. How do set-them up … so there is a degree of separation between all the areas of business/interest?.

I have data in excel sheets … How do I upload it … so that I can and track all that I do… doing bit will be calling and sending out e-mail messages… Sometimes a few and sometimes quite a few …

One of the thing … I wanted was to move from one call to the next as quickly as possible … I envisage … records and one can toggle to the next record or telephone number…

If there are must watch videos … please suggest them…

Thanks a million for all your help… May God Bless.

Please advise …

what does this error mean…

Those errors of class “deprecated” and “notice” you should simply ignore.

That is, assuming you are seeing them in your log files.

If you are seeing them on your screen, it’s because you didn’t set up PHP correctly. You need to find your php.ini file and set

display_errors = false

Then restart Apache.

This is the fun bit … This is where the struggle starts… Everybody says … it is simple software people will have you believe… I am sure it is a breeze too…

Let me walk through a typical scenario…

Say I want to have all my family members in one place. How do I organize them.

Say there are 5 members in my family…

So, I will add 5 contacts adding each contact’s details… Have 5 records…

Do I then assign them to an account called “My family” and assign that account to me?

Do I need to create the account first or the contact records first?

Please advise…

How do I do this please?

I have 5 contacts… I have created an e-mail template…

I like to be able to send the same message to 5 people…

each e-mail addressed to the right person in the sequence…

Please advise

You can send multiple emails by setting up a Target List (destination addresses can be Accounts, Contacts, Leads or Targets).

If you’re thinking about modelling concepts into SuiteCRM concepts this might be a good read to get into the right mentality:

Wow.

I am working on this amazing tool. There are still teething issues but with time I will learn and grasp ideas etc.

Now, I do make quite a few calls… and sometimes several calls to the same person…

Ideally, I like to make the calls from within suiteCRM and keep a log for my records plus reminders too. I have people who suggest a call back in months… or in two hours… having a prodding thing will be useful…

So, which calling system? … and why? How much will it cost? I get unlimited calls and texts on my phone contract. Can I integrate that into my CRM or some other system. If phone is a better option… how do I set-it up?

Thank you in advance…
