Non-latin characters display issue after upgrading to 7.9.11

Hello,

Per request by pgr I am creating this new ticket:

after upgrading from 7.9.8, every time we paste a text block from Outlook to SuiteCRM that contains non latin characters (and to be more specific, Greek characters), after the record has been saved, the non-latin characters aren’t displayed correctly.

The weird thing is that if I go ahead and copy some part of the gibberish and then search for it in the crm, the preview search results display the search term correctly! But if click on the search result, the non latin text in the landing page isn’t displayed correctly.

Finally, I copied and pasted some text from a web page. In this case the Greek characters are displayed correctly.

Suite CRM is hosted on a Plesk 12.5.30 Update #74. The OS is CentOS Linux 7.2.1511 (Core)‬.

Can you please check and advice?

An update,

I pasted a text block from Outlook to notepad to remove any formatting. I then pasted this text to suitecrm and again the non latin texted isn’t displayed correctly. Again, this was a case update.

Finally,

I tried to replicate the issue on suitecrm online demo. There when I paste a text block containing Greek characters (I tried with case updates), a case update entry is created but it contains nothing (no text).

I then typed some greek text in a new case update and it appears and it is displayed correctly.
