I’ve created a new installation and in the process of trying to create a new user if the SMTP settings aren’t defined…the New User Page crashes.
On the create new user page…there are display errors all over the page. Dropdowns don’t actually show your selection after making a selection. Popups when trying to delete a user instead of saying what I presume is supposed to be Delete and Cancel say undefined instead…
I’ve attached a screencap showing some of the errors.
I tried setting the perms as per the instructions via my FTP client which did not work. I was finally able to get rid of the undefined errors by changing perms via SSH… However there are still other problems including page crashing when selecting certain fields and the drop downs are still not functional as demonstrated in the following screen capture movie.
Does anyone actually ever use these forums or is this a dead product?
If you are on a Linux/Unix environment, probably your problems are due to permissions issues, but it is very hard to tell if you don’t provide to the Forum sufficient information such as aoperating system, database, SuiteCRM version.
I suggest that you start your installation again and that you set permissions correctly befoe, durning and after the installation. Just to see if things work.
It is possible that you have not set permissions correctly. If you search the forum I shared a script to do it via the browser. You may also down load it from github if you prefer.
