Native legacy modules

Hello community,

I’m migrating from SuiteCRM 7 to SuiteCRM 8 and have a few questions. While reviewing SuiteCRM 8, I’ve noticed that some modules, like invoices, quotes, and others, have not yet migrated to the new structure for edit and detail views. These modules still appear as legacy in the file: config/services/module/module_routing.yaml. In the same file, I can see that key modules such as leads, contacts, accounts, and tasks, among others, have already migrated their views to the new structure.

My question is: Will the modules that are still in legacy mode eventually migrate? I checked the roadmap for upcoming versions, but it doesn’t specify if these changes are planned for future releases.

Yes, they will. Everything legacy will eventually disappear. However, it might take a long time, and the roadmap doesn’t show that level of detail.

Often, more urgent things come up that take the time of the v8 developers. So there aren’t many promises regarding that sort of work, of bringing legacy modules to the new UI. But it’s always on the back of their mind and they will do it when they get a chance.
